Cancer Research Simplified CEO invited to meet with Consul General of Turkey in Boston
Boston, MA — Cancer Research Simplified (CRS) CEO and Founder Dr. Ayguen Sahin was invited by the Consul General of Turkey in Boston, Mr. Ömür Budak, to meet with him on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, to learn more about CRS’s work on worldwide cancer education.
Dr. Sahin, CEO and Founder of Cancer Research Simplified, met with Consul General of Turkey in Boston, Mr. Ömür Budak, and discussed CRS’s mission, educational programs, achievements within the 24 months of its existence, and its short and long-term goals.
“It was such an important meeting for our organization and for me personally,” said Dr. Sahin. “My highest commendation to Mr. Budak, who noticed the existence of our organization here in Boston, willing to learn more about it, and listen with excitement about our future goals as CRS. I was truly honored with this important meeting!”
Dr. Sahin discussed CRS’s future goals, including 1) becoming a worldwide trusted resource on cancer education, tailored to the public with non-technical background, 2) collaborating with hospitals and centers for effective cancer education, 3) providing cancer research scholarships to promising high school students worldwide, 4) opening the CRS-Turkey Chapter in Istanbul.
“We have already started our small steps towards opening our CRS-Turkey Chapter in Istanbul due to the high demand of our large number of Turkish subscribers and followers over the past two years, and we hope that we can speed up this process with many more collaborations here in the US and in Turkey,” said Dr. Sahin.
Cancer Research Simplified won the 2014 Top-Rated Nonprofit Award from Great Nonprofits, and a finalist position at the Harvard Extension Business Society’s 2014 “Pitch Your Passion” contest. CRS was also invited to the Rev2014 Cancer Conference in Washington D.C., received a grant from Genentech for its 2015 CRS Cancer Symposium Series, the first of which successfully took place in February 2015 on breast cancer, and is being invited to Harvard, Princeton, and Yale Career Fairs.
