Ms. EMILY TASKIN!!! CONGRATULATIONS, Emily!!
Emily, a trained nurse, is with our organization since seven months. She originally joined as one of our Research Team members, however, Emily truly understood the undertaking of volunteering. She helped out in any way she could, was the key help in organizing and assisting at our Lung Cancer Symposium as well as our Colon Cancer Lecture, both held at Cambridge College. She created lists of speakers, helped tremendously in flyer distribution physically and online, wrote research articles, contacted many groups helped spreading our word, helped organizing and joined our biking fundraiser, and for the last several months, she served our organization as our Social Media Manager, work very, very hard to creating well organized schedules, posted our multi-language educational programs on our social media platforms daily, 7-times a week, 4-times a day.
Beside her tremendous efforts and help, overall, Emily has always been an outstanding team citizen, her hard, precise, timely, efficient, and excellent work, as well as its outstanding communication skills with her peers and managers is praiseworthy.
“Emily is one of our key team members and I can’t say enough how helpful she was this year at our organization. Her dedication, precise, careful, and quality work, professionalism, positive energy, always willingness to help, outstanding teamwork, and great respect to her superiors as well as her fellow team members amazed me. There were two honorable mentions, Mr. Frank Rosenbauer (German Translations Manager) and Ms. Anna Faustova (Research Team Member and Russian Translator), who have joined us in May 2014 and February, 2015, respectively, and helped us in achieving many successes this year in many ways – Frank with his outstanding, thorough, carefully, and excellently translated German texts and management of other German translators, such as Simone Kuehnle, PhD, his amazing verbal and written communication style, willingness to help and serve our mission for more than one and a half years, his professionalism, and overall being a great team citizen; and Anna, our clinical psychologist, with her many great research articles throughout the year, which topics on cancer and psychology were carefully selected and written, her timely and dedicated work, her enthusiasm, and careful and timely translation of our educational programs in Russian. Thank you, Frank and Anna!
The entire CERI Team, consisting of 8 volunteers, will also receive "Certificate of Appreciation" for their outstanding work at CERI. Additional team members are: Mr. Alp Ozcan (Istanbul University, Cerrahpaşa Medical School English Program, Istanbul, Turkey), Mr. Berke Su (Acıbadem University, School of Medicine English Program Istanbul, Turkey), Mr. Sarper Guvenc (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Karlsruhe, Germany), Ms. Busra Yilmaz (Physiotherapist, currently in Boston, MA), Dr. Debora Petropolis (Boston, MA), and our 13 and 12-y.o. volunteers, Buse Unal (Istanbul, Turkey) and Sinan Felix Frisch (Ingolstadt, Germany).
