Researchers from the Imperial College of London, Columbia University, University of California, Davis, University of Hong Kong, and Tsinghua University, Beijing have show in a resent publication in Science on March 16, 2020 entitled 'Substantial undocumented infection facilitates the rapid dissemination of novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV2) (2)' that:

- A large proportion of COVID-19 infections were undocumented prior to control measures in China on 23 January, which is a major cause of the large spread.
- These undocumented cases likely did not show severe symptoms, and thus, appears to have facilitated the rapid spread of the virus throughout China.

We've put together the Covid-19 cases and deaths together in comparison from 24 March vs. 21 April 2020. The numbers for the U.S., Turkey, and Germany are particularly striking. China seems stable, and Azerbaijan's cases and deaths are slow, but still in the upraise.
Notably, Turkey ranked 21st worldwide on March 24, and is now in 7th place worldwide in regards to Covid-19 cases. This is quite a steep upraise.
