CERI Video Production Team Member - Volunteer/Internship
Key responsibilities:
-Produce video content and audio needs
-Managing audio (equipment and recording) during production and post-productions
-Contribute to mixing and post-production editing to create polished videos
-Planning, and assisting with additional needs to produce high-quality videos and publishing to the web
-Personal computer with video editing software required
-Works closely with Executive Director and/or assigned Committee Chair for proper finalization of projects at hand.
-Meets pressing deadlines.
-Attends monthly meetings, online or in-person.
-Serves as a natural ambassador for the organization.
-Other duties as assigned.
Reports to the Executive Director and/or assigned Committee Chair
Required Qualifications & Skills:
-Experience in video capturing (please describe on resume)
-Proficiency in video-editing software (please describe on resume, include 2 portfolio pieces)
-Experience with audio equipment and post-production synchronization
Additional preferred skills:
-Self-motivated, creative, and strategic thinker, detail-oriented, highly organized
-Ability to produce high-quality and detailed videos on a critical deadline
-Ability to troubleshoot technical problems
-Work independently, but must be a team player
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Looking for career development
-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Other requirements:
International students in the US are also required to provide verification for eligibility for volunteering from their school or international offices.
The Length of Appointment:
This position requires a commitment for a minimum of 6 months. After an initial 3-month test period, he/she may be eligible for a 6-month or a full-year reappointment at the discretion of the supervisor to complete a 6-month or a full year.
Development opportunities and recognition:
After successful completion of a full year, he/she may be promoted to a managerial role within the organization at the discretion of the supervisor. Volunteers are highly valuable members of CERI and each volunteer makes a true difference in CERI’s work to provide the necessary education to cancer patients and the general public. CERI recognizes volunteers who successfully completed their placement. Special recognition is given yearly for outstanding volunteers.
Support:
Training for this position will be provided. Also, the Executive Director and/or assigned committee chair will be available for questions.
